With the trail route now established through the feasibility study, the East Side Trails project has moved into the next phase of design. We’re inviting residents, trail users, and stakeholders to help identify the trailhead elements and features that will create safe, welcoming, and functional access points along the network.

Trailhead Types

Tier 1 Trailhead

  • Primary community gateway

  • Elements may include:

    • Benches/seating

    • Wayfinding signage

    • Vertical markers

    • Bike racks

    • Bike repair station

    • Trash/Recycling bins

    • Dog waste stations

    • Water fountains

  • Consistently designed


Tier 2 Trailhead

  • Secondary trail access points

  • Elements may include:

    • Benches/seating

    • Wayfinding signage

    • Bike racks
